Dr. Peter Gerhardt, President of the Organization for Autism Research (OAR), gives his support for the work of Accelerations Educational Software (AES) to make Video Modeling practical for home and school. There is substantial research behind the use of video modeling to significantly improve learning of a wide variety of skills by individuals with autism, but the method has not made it into common practice.

Dr. Gerhardt lends his voice of support for the work of AES in identifying and addressing the fundamental issues preventing wide spread adoption of Video Modeling. Dr. Gerhardt recognizes AES’s ability to collaborate with researchers, autism experts, and educators in the creation of the Activity Trainer and for the continued evolution of the tool and library of activities. Finally, Dr. Gerhardt recognizes AES’s experience in developing, distributing, and supporting the DT Trainer which will allow the Activity Trainer to quickly make a difference for the autism community.
