Step 1: Before installing the DT Trainer, please check our system requirements page to ensure that your computer will be capable of running the DT Trainer.

Step 2: It is also a good idea to update your computer before installing. You can obtain updates for your computer from http://www.windowsupdate.com. Please be sure that you install any available updates for Microsoft Internet Explorer and DirectX (note: if you do not see any updates for these programs, then you should be up-to-date).

Step 3: The DT Trainer requires a few 3rd party software packages in order to successfully operate. If you do not already have these installed, please download and install the following software:

• Java Runtime Environment
• Adobe Shockwave Player
• Adobe Flash Player
• Adobe Acrobat Reader
• Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable.

Step 4: To install the DT Trainer, you need to either obtain an installation CD from AES or download the full installation from our updates page. The installation CD interface is designed to launch automatically when it is placed in your CD drive; however, if the autorun feature is disabled on your computer, you can manually launch the "Setup.exe" file that is in the root directory of the CD. Please be sure that when you install the DT Trainer, you are logged on to your computer with administrative privileges. If you do not have administrative privileges during installation, you may encounter problems with the DT Trainer later (If you are installing the DT Trainer in a school, you may need to contact your IT department for this access).

Note: After installation is complete, you do not need to have the installation CD in the drive to run the DT Trainer.
