AES Customer Data Privacy Statement for Installed Products

Accelerations Educational Software (AES) installed products keep data on the customer’s computers and behind any security protection the customer provides. AES does not have access to any student data except rarely where customer sends data to AES, generally for support purposes. The software does not collect personal data beyond a name and rarely a number as decided by customer plus training data. AES software collects student training configuration and data for supporting training and generating reports by customer. The software does not collect demographic, health, interests, or other data related to student privacy.

Training Data. You authorize AES to use Training Data you send to AES for support, studies, publications, promotions, or future modifications of the Software or Content as long as the identity of the student is kept private. For purposes hereof, the term “Training Data” shall mean any data or information entered directly by an Administrator or entered indirectly by a Student’s use of the Software and generated as output by the Software.

AES collects name, title, email, phone, and sometimes school address of customer staff associated with purchasing, administration, support, and use of the software. AES does not share customer information with anyone except the customer. AES uses customer information for the benefit of customers.

AES Customer Data Privacy Statement for Virtual Products

Accelerations Educational Software (AES) does not collect personal data beyond a name and rarely a number as decided by customer. AES collects student training configuration and data for supporting virtual training over the web and generating reports by customer. We do not collect any demographic, health, interests, or other data related to student privacy.

AES is allowed to use unidentified student raw and aggerated training data for purposes of research, product enhancement, and promotion. AES does not sell data but may share unidentified data with a credible research institution. Usually, research data would come to us from a research institution rather than us sending them data.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides security for cloud storage of data and use on their virtual servers. School staff controls access passwords to the student data and configuration for training, administration, and data reporting purposes.
