Reinstall Shockwave 11

Reinstall Shockwave 11

In order to get your reinforcers working again, you will need to go back to Shockwave version 11. First you will need to uninstall Shockwave version 12. You may accomplish this by using the “add/remove programs” option in the windows control panel. After it has been removed, reboot your system. Now install Shockwave version 11 by downloading from https://get.adobe.com/shockwave/

Run the file that you just downloaded and follow the on-screen prompts.

Next you’ll need to turn off the automatic upgrade feature in Shockwave. Using your internet browser, navigate to http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome.

You will see the following message “This page contains a new Shockwave format movie that the current Shockwave control cannot handle. Would you like to download the newer version of the control?” Select “No”. You will see a black rectangle under the heading “ADOBE SHOCKWAVE PLAYER”. Move your mouse pointer over that rectangle and right click your mouse. This will pull up a menu. Left click on properties. This will display the Shockwave settings window. Uncheck the box for “Automatic update service (recommended)”

Please test your reinforcers by using the DT Trainer Administration tool. Once the tool is launched, select the “Common Administration” tab and then click the “Reinforcers” button. Expand to the Activities/ArtAndGraphics/Image Building folder. Double click on Coral Reef.ref. If Shockwave version 11 is installed correctly, the reinforcer will run.
